How it Works

Explore the features of groupweave or sign up to take it for a free 30 day test run.  Groupweave makes it easy to collaborate, share files and see what everyone is working on.  Gantt charts are built right in and allow users to easily see what their assigned to and what the overall utilization of the group is.

More than file sharing; more than a group calendar; better than emailed copies of Microsoft Project.

Shared calendar

groupweave provides a calendar view that combines users and departments all into one page. Quickly see what other team members are working on.

Aggregate status and activity

Adding new entries is a single click operation; entries can be ad hoc and include any information. This allows users to organically describe activities.  This makes sharing information, status and availability very easy.

Choose from owned tasks

Tasks can also be chosen from projects that the user is assigned to.  By clicking "pick task" users can see anything in their queue entered via a Gannt project or via their own task lists.

Gannt View / Online Gannt Charts

Projects are created via a Gannt project file that is created within the web based environment.  Each effort describes a duration of time within the project.  These can start at predefined dates or based on predecessor relationships.  Each project has a set of efforts, each effort has tasks associated with it.  Tasks are assigned to users.  Users will see their tasks in the team view and can easily add it to the day's activity.  From that view, users can also add additional time to a task, if the original estimate was not enough.  This will get fed into the task view below.

Task View

Each effort is a collection of tasks assigned to users.  The effort for each is estimated and tracked to see the delta over time.

Hierarchical organization of files

Projects are tracked hierarchically in folders.  Security can be applied by team so that different folders can be shared with different clients.

Include files and wiki style entries

Documents can also be included with projects.  These can be text entries made directly and file attachments.  Each contains information about edit history and approval status.  Using the approval status you can create approval workflow that fits the needs of your organization.

View utilization

Based on projects created, utilization and status can be viewed for the entire team.

Track ongoing status

As users update project information, current status of each effort is provided.
